You know, it just dawned on me that I haven't actually given any details about the talent agency I'm with. Well, allow this post to rectify the situation. I'm currently training with AMTC which is Actors, Models, Talent for Christ. I know, I know, "for Christ?" Yes, "for Christ", but the agency is really great because they don't have any unreal notions about the entertainment industry. They know what it's all about and want to help people get into it. AMTC is a fully-formed 501c3 corporation, but there is a cost to the new talent (me) to help support the agency and get us top notch acting, singing, dancing coaching and photoshoots so feel free to support me by continuing to patronize my blog.

The agency is about 30 years old and has its roots as a modeling agency before branching out. It hosts 2 yearly conventions, bringing together some of the biggest names in entertainment. While the convention’s early years focused mainly on models, increasing numbers of actors, singers, dancers, and comics were attending… and becoming stars. Young unknowns like Megan Fox, Mena Suvari, and Matthew Underwood were early graduates who set the stage for the rising stars of today. It didn't actually become "for Christ" until a couple years ago when CSO Carey Lewis, who at the age of 51 saw herself as a burned out CEO, turned her life and her company over to God.

Okay, so I'm officially a member of the AMTC family, which is great, but not free. This means I'm in a whirlwind trying to scratch up the cash for all the lessons, training, etc. In between brainstorming fundraising ideas, I decided to start a loose change jar. After a furious day of cleaning out the house, purses, cars, and pockets, this is all I have to show for my efforts. Not much and I have a long way to go, but at least I've made the first step.

Almost famous? Not quite.

So much time has gone by since my last post and now I have a post that will probably make future postage even more difficult! I recently joined a talent agency and have begun lessons in all things entertainment. So between vocal, acting, and dance training, school, workouts, warmups, fundraising, and auditioning, I probably won't even have time to breathe! That said, I'm still ridiculously excited. Wish me luck!

Back For A New Year

So it's been ages since I've lat posted (not that anyone cares) but I had some free time so I figured I may as well update my prodigal blog! It's that time of year again, and all the little collegiates have shuffled off to school. I myself am starting my senior year! I'm looking forward to drowning in my sea of Bio courses. Also, my 21st Birthday party is coming up! A Modern Masquerade, it promises to be a fantastic affair. That being said, on my meager college budget, raising the funds for it is the pits. Death by Frosty Stupid

Why does my school hate me? Can anybody enlighten me?? FIRE ALARM goes off at 10 AM during EXAM WEEK?!?! I have an exam I should be studying for and, oh yeah, IT'S FRICKIN COLD OUTSIDE! WHO decided that was a GOOD idea?!?! ಠ_ಠ Let's complain.....

Where's all the reliable plumbing gone?

Soooo, I wake up this morning ready to take a shower and start my day. Walk into the bathroom and turn on a faucet. What came out can only be described as the saddest, most pitiful excuse for a stream of water I'd ever seen. So I went to a toilet and tried to flush it: the toilet said 'no'. Shower? Not happenin'. So now I'm all stinky and I still need to go to class. Thanks HU, I feel like my $30,000 is really going to good use. This is a recurring thing here though, our plumbing is simply unreliable, always bursting, breaking, freezing, rusting, or being stopped up. I'd kinda appreciate not having to worry if the waters' flowing everytime I walk into the bathroom. That's just me. Anyway, let's wash!

Stress

Done with classes and presentations and all I want to do is sleep. Can I do that? Noooo because I have to somehow buy two 1/2 inch binders when I have no transportation, I have to FINISH the work that goes IN the binders, I need to actually START my research paper that I've been neglecting and can't find any research for, and I have to study for 2 tests. A-yo college, what's good? Let's crash and burn >.<
