Sell Out

I've mentioned it before, but I'm currently in the process of doing fundraising. Raising money is hard. Anyone who'd tell you otherwise is probably lying to you or lives a charmed life. Luckily, many if us have sources of income in our rooms. I'm of course talking about selling pretty much everything you own. If you, like me, are in need of some quick money you may want to try some of these solutions.

- http://cash4books.net: Doubtless, many of us know the joys of reselling textbooks, and probably know some great places to do it. You never know how much those books collecting dust might be worth. I rather like this particular site because they have an app that includes a scanner with which you can scan book barcodes and get a quote. Pretty nifty.

- Plato's Closet: If you've got a bunch of stylish, good condition clothes that you can't fit/ don't want anymore, take them down to your local Plato's Cloaet or thrift/consignment shop. You may not get much for them, but you'll get more than you had.

- http://yousellbooks.com: Despite the name, this service takes not only books, but music cds and dvd's as well. This one is also has a nifty app complete with scanner, although the scanner isn't as reliable as the cash4books one (in my opinion).

- GameStop: Old video games you never play? Sell them to GameStop. Be quick about it though, older games depreciate in value quickly. You'll be trading some in for only cent, but it's more cent than you started with.

- Sell plasma: So this one may not exactly be in your room, but close enough. In many states, plasma centers will pay you to make a donation. Usually ~$25 for your first visit and ~$35 to $45 for subsequent visits, however you're limited to 2 visits a week. It takes about 45 minutes of you sitting down with a needle in your arm, but it's money.

If you've got any other quick and easy ways to supplement your income, feel free to comment because we could all use a little extra sometimes.
